Anti-Aging Makeup Tips

Anti AgingMakeup can certainly enhance our appearance, helping us bring out our best features and minimize flaws. Although we can become attached to particular brands, colors, or products, the makeup we use in our 20s often doesn’t do us any favors as we age.
The following anti aging makeup tips will help you make sure that your products and techniques keep you looking as young as you feel:

Moisturize your lips

As we age, we may develop fine lines near our upper lip, and our lips may start to look thinner. Use a good moisturizer around your mouth to minimize the appearance of lines, and add a soothing balm underneath your lipstick.

Use the right color of lipstick

Choose a light color, such as a soft rose, to reflect light and make your lips look fuller. Avoid harsh lines by gently blotting at the edges with your fingertip.

Line your top and bottom lids

Line both the top and bottom of your eyelids to help minimize the appearance of droopy lids.

Use a shimmery, neutral eye shadow

A shimmery powder shadow in a neutral shade can also help make your upper eyelids look more taut.

Don’t neglect your eyebrows

Eyebrows become thinner with age, so they need some extra attention. Try using a powder or brow pencil to lightly fill in sparse areas, brushing it through so it looks soft and natural.

Use a cream blush

A powder blush may have been great in your 20s, but as we age, our skin tends to dry. Try a cream blush, and apply it only to the apples of your cheeks.

Choose the right foundation

A foundation that’s too heavy will fill in fine lines and wrinkles, making them look more prominent. Use one that has light-reflecting particles to make your skin look more radiant. Also look for a formula that includes skin-friendly extras such as SPF, antioxidants and peptides, which help produce collagen.
