Learn More About Laser Hair Removal
How do I know if I’m a good candidate for laser hair removal?
Anyone with dark hair makes a good candidate for this treatment. If you have unwanted dark hairs, our laser can remove them; if you have blonde or gray hair, however, the laser will not pick up the hair and will not be able to remove it.
Where does the laser work, and is it painful?
The laser will work anywhere you have dark, unwanted hairs. The laser produces a beam of highly concentrated light, and when applied to the skin, it feels most similar to a snap of a rubber band against your skin. We have cooling mechanisms that can make the treatment more comfortable if you are concerned about pain or feeling uncomfortable.
How often do I come in for treatment?
Laser hair removal requires a series of treatments in order to completely remove the hair, and some of our patients need a few treatments before they start to see results. Most of our patients come in every four weeks for laser hair removal on the face and every six weeks for removing hair on the body. Although each treatment is different and varies based on the size of the treated area, most treatments take about 30 minutes to perform and can easily fit into any busy schedule.
What are the benefits of laser hair removal over other forms of hair removal?
We love laser hair removal because it allows you to spend less time shaving or waxing and more time doing what you need or want to do. You also don’t have to deal with stubble or bumps or cuts from shaving, which can make your skin smoother and more youthful.
