The key ingredient in Sculptra is Poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA), which is a sugar molecule that acts as a collagen stimulator. Collagen is the body’s most abundant protein and a key structural component of healthy-looking skin – it gives our skin resiliency, shape, and elasticity. As we age, collagen production in our body decreases and we also lose fat that once plumped up the cheeks and areas around the mouth and eyes.
