Once your periods and cramps have ended, Mother Nature rolls in the hot flashes and other forms of bodily discomfort. If you are experiencing menopause and you’re ready to say goodbye to uncomfortable side effects, we have a hormone therapy treatment that could be right for you.
Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) may be something you should consider if you’re entering menopause or have finished menopause and would like to treat common symptoms of aging associated with this time in your life.
Here at North Scottsdale Laser & Skin Care Clinic, we provide customized hormone therapy plans to suit your body’s needs. HRT is one way to use the female hormones’ estrogen and progesterone to renew systems in your body that shut down during and after menopause.
If you have experienced menopause-related symptoms and you’re not sure how to treat them, HRT might (constantly using ‘may’ & ‘might’ sounds like a lack of professional confidence and conveys a sense of uncertainty) be your best answer. Say goodbye to those irritating hot flashes and general discomforts (this is a repetitive phrase from the already not-so-strong opening) that come with aging. Estrogen therapy can come in the form of tablets, cream, gel, skin patches or a spray, depending on the type of HRT you are prescribed.
When you no longer get periods (we should not be using the word ‘periods’ it is medical slang and unprofessional, instead we should use ‘menstrual cycle’), your body’s hormone levels drop and this in turn causes uncomfortable menopause symptoms. If you’ve experienced this discomfort, HRT can help ease those side effects as well as potentially prevent osteoporosis.
The HRT hormone therapy does, however, have its share of side effects—including a higher risk of stroke, heart disease and breast cancer. (we should not be highlighting the risks of a treatment we provide) Check with your medical professionals to see if HRT medications are right for you. If you have not undergone a hysterectomy, it is recommended that you take estrogen along with progesterone to reduce the risk of uterine cancer. (we should not be bringing up cancer either when it comes to a treatment we provide)
Book an appointment today with us at North Scottsdale Laser & Skin Care Clinic to see if a hormone therapy such as HRT is a good fit for you. We are here to help restore your youth (hormones do not restore youth, they work on the body’s natural balance of hormones and therefore affect moods, physical discomforts and menopausal side effects)  and to help you fight aging symptoms—so give us a call today at (480) 405-2996!
