Kybella is most commonly used for the removal of fat underneath the chin (think double chin), but works wonderfully in other areas of the body as well, including the stomach area, thighs, back and more.
Kybella uses synthetic deoxycholic acid in order to break down and destroy fat cells permanently. Deoxycholic acid is a 
naturally occurring molecule in the body. When injected, the ingredient destroys fat cells by ensuring that the cells can no longer collect fat. Kybella injections imitate the body’s natural fat-absorption process to melt away excess fat. Kybella leads to permanent results, as once the fat cells are destroyed, they do not grow back again.
The number of treatments varies depending on individual needs. Before you start Kybella treatments, a specialist will examine the area on your body that you would like to address with treatments in order to tailor the injection process to meet your specific aesthetic goals.
This treatment can only be performed by a Kybella-trained specialist. For each treatment, you will receive multiple small injections to the treatment area which will take anywhere from 15 to 20 minutes. After receiving Kybella, you may experience some slight swelling or mild bruising in the affected area, but the discomfort should quickly fade.
